On Tuesday, December 19 we will have the Unit 6 test covering World War I and the Russian Revolution. The notebooks and study guides will be due that day as well.

Student Led Conferences

10/25/2017

Dear Parents,

We will be holding student led conferences on November 29th. Students will be preparing scripts to show documentation of their work for them to speak to you about their work over the semester.

Unit 3 Test

9/22/2017

The unit 3 test will be given on Thursday, September 28. As usual, I will collect their notebook, which will check pages 20-22 and  the study guide, which will be counted as a quiz grade.

Student will be completing a group poster project on an Enlightenment philosopher over the next three days and present that thinker to the class on Wednesday.

Unit 2 Test

9/6/2017

Unit 2 Test will be given Tuesday, September 12. Students should use their study guide to support their preparation for the test. (My version of the study guide can be found on the unit page. Nevertheless, students should complete their study guide using their own worlds) Particular focus should be given to understanding important concepts like the encomienda system, mercantilism, and the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Unit 1 Test

8/22/2017

On Friday, August 22 students will take their first social studies test. It is a 25 question multiple choice test. The study guide is also worth a test grade. It is an essential tool for preparing for the test. I would also recommend studying the explorers map that should be located on the left hand side of Page 7 in their notebook.
